The Nationals™, presented by The National Sales and Marketing Council (NSMC) and Wells Fargo Home Loans, is comprised of the NAHB, a trade association founded in 1942 that helps promote policies to make housing a national priority. The annual awards pay tribute to exceptional achievements by homebuilders/
Award winners were announced at The National Awards Gala at NAHB’s International Builders Show (IBS) in Las Vegas on February 4, 2014 at the Wynn/Encore Hotel, a sold-out, black-tie gala drawing more than 600 attendees.
The property prompting this honor, Park Landing, is a four-story affordable multifamily housing development, comprised of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units up to 1150 square-feet;
“Infill housing has become a critical component of our urban landscape,” said Kevin Newman, CEO and president of NG+P. “Our New Block™ concept strives to address the unique needs of the market, and we are truly honored by this recognition for our design of Park Landing.”
New Block™ also provided an economically feasible option for the site’s developer, Jamboree Housing, the Silver award recipient of The Nationals prestigious honor for ‘Masterplanned Community of the Year’ for its development of Park Landing.
“Park Landing is a true showcase of the shared values in the partnership between Jamboree and Newman Garrison + Partners. Both groups see innovation, sustainability and high quality of life for our residents as essential in the development of affordable housing,” said Michael Massie, Housing Development Director for Jamboree.
