Spending hours watching thousand of photos that your friend brought from a trip can be quite tiring. The social network Stayfilm was launched in order to allow people to share stories in a fast and innovative way. The platform, which uses photos and videos provided by users, offers the possibility of automatically produce movies with cinematic soundtracks and visual effects in a quick and easy way
The production takes about two minutes and is quite intuitive. First, the user writes the name of the movie and indicates the social networks in which the photos and videos that will be filtered by keywords are located. It is also possible to upload the contents from the computer itself. After that, the user just has to select one of the styles available - in each style there are several potential movies, so the system surprises the user in the result - and at the end of the process, watch and share the film within or outside Stayfilm.
"The interface and navigation of Stayfilm was designed to provide an intuitive and visually interesting experience. From the design to the effects of the movies, the construction of the social network was made following an innovative visual concept, which aims to provide people various possibilities to publish their stories", says Daniel Almeida, co-founder and CSO of Stayfilm.
At the platform, the user has a profile to produce, manage and share movies with filmates (friend’s contacts). In the personal feed, the user can find its friend’s new productions and can watch, comment or click YES! (Like) in other movies. The default format of the movies is 640x360px, which allows a great watching experience even with a basic 3G internet access.
Today, Stayfilm updates the styles and amount of movies regularly. The company is also working on implementing other features, such as the storage and managing system of photos and videos and the mobile application, which will be available to the public in the first half of the next year.
"Tell a story through a video is very important on the internet today. Stayfilm brings the users the possibility to synthesize and share visual content produced in a fast, fun and qualitative way", concludes the co-founder and CEO of Stayfilm, Douglas Almeida.
