NORWELL, Mass. - Feb. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- Norwell, MA (February 20, 2014) – G-Force shipping, one of the nation’s fastest growing small businesses has been named a Blue Ribbon Small Business Award (http://www.uschambersummit.com/award) winner by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

The annual program recognizes companies for their dedication to the principles of free enterprise and contributions to restoring jobs and supporting economic growth. G-Force was selected from a record number of applicants across the nation for demonstrating exceptional business practices in areas including strategic planning, employee development, community involvement, and customer service.

G-Force has grown its employee base from 18 to 33 and increased revenue from $6.7M to $10M in the past calendar year.  G-Force is expected to crack Inc 500’s “Top 500 Companies in the Country for Growth” in 2014 and the recognition by the U.S. Chamber is its latest in a long list of praise for rapid growth, premier employee-friendly workplace environment, community involvement and unmatched customer service.

“Being chosen as one of the top 100 small businesses in the country for the criteria outlined by the Blue Ribbon awards is an amazing honor and tribute to the hard work the entire G-Force team has put into our company,” says G-Force Shipping CEO, Scott Guilbeault. “The small business community is an integral component in strengthening the local and national economy as well as providing rewarding career opportunities and we are thrilled to be recognized as one of its top members.”

The Chamber will announce seven regional finalists on March 19 and honor all of this year’s Blue Ribbon Small Business Award winners at the 10th annual America’s Small Business Summit (http://www.uschambersummit.com/ceaaward), taking place June 11 – 13 in Washington, D.C. During the summit, one regional finalist will receive the DREAM BIG Small Business of the Year Award, sponsored by Sam’s Club®, and a $10,000 cash prize courtesy of the U.S. Chamber. All Blue Ribbon winners are also eligible for the Community Excellence Award (http://www.uschambersummit.com/ceaaward), which will be decided through online public voting February 19 – 28.

“As the business community has worked hard to do its part in moving the country forward economically, small businesses have continued to be the driving force responsible for much of our progress,” U.S. Chamber President and CEO Thomas J. Donohue said. “Our Blue Ribbon Award winners are the best of the best—growing and succeeding despite significant challenges.”
