Doherty expands footprint in Mankato mall; welcomed by Mankato Chamber of Commerce

MANKATO, Minn. - Feb. 19, 2014 - PRLog -- Mankato, Minnesota—February 12, 2014

Eight ambassadors from the Mankato Chamber of Commerce welcomed Doherty | The Employment Experts into their new space at the Madison East Mall on February 12.

The 34-year old staffing company has been part of the Mankato employment scene since they opened their first office in the city over 20 years ago. This is their 3^rd move inside the Madison East shopping center, each office a little larger than the previous one to accommodate the growth of Doherty and the surge in temporary staffing in the city and surrounding communities.

Central Mankato location visible and accessible to job seekers, students

On Wednesday, Mankato Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors joined the Doherty crew, including founder and Chairman Tim Doherty, in a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony outside the new office, followed by a small reception.

“This is a great place for us to meet job seekers and clients,” said Doherty Vice President Gauher Mohammad. “We like being in the mall because we have high visibility, it’s close to the University, and it’s easy for people to get to and to park. Madison East has worked with us over the years and allowed us to grow as our business grows, so it’s a perfect fit for Doherty. We’re very excited about our new, larger space and are already up and running to serve businesses and job seekers with employment services.”

New Doherty office opening further south

Doherty is planning another grand opening event later this spring to celebrate a new branch in Algona, Iowa. The Algona staffing office will be the first Doherty location in Iowa, although the company has operated multiple on-site staffing programs for Iowa-based clients over the years.
