SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. -
Feb. 19, 2014 -
PRLog -- James Yuill, who handles all sales and acquisitions of new and used motorcycles at Freedom Cycle, 9726 S. Virginia Street, Reno, NV 89511 ~ (775) 358-3500, has been riding ATVs and dirt bikes since early childhood. He has worked at Freedom Cycle since 2004, and enjoys a strong customer support base. James has entered the Lake Tahoe T.T. 320-Mile Ultra-Extreme Endurance Race that starts from and finishes at Motel 6 #250, South Lake Tahoe, CA. As the only local entrant to-date, James is entered in Class IV, 301cc to 650cc, on a Piaggio MP3 500cc. The MP3 500 is the Flagship of Piaggio's Italian designed and built super-scooters, With two front wheels placed close together, and connected by a patented parallelogram multilink suspension system that ensures they turn and bank together, the MP3's front end approaches Formula 1 car sophistication. The front wheels can be locked by an electro-hydraulic mechanism so that the MP3 stays upright when stopped, with no need for the rider to put their feet on the ground. Three sets of calipers and rotors provide tremendous stopping power. The single-cylinder dual-overhead-
cam fuel-injected liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine propels this scooter to speeds approaching triple-digits.
To date, Class IV has been dominated by Motor-Scooter International’
s extreme endurance racing women. James Yuill’s Class IV entry on the exotic MP3 500cc, coupled with his local knowledge of the roads comprising the course, may be a game-changer, breaking a two-year winning streak by MSILSF Extreme Endurance Racers Linda Hurley / Yamaha 400cc Majesty, and Marta Woodfield / Honda 580cc Silverwing.
