The Mercedes-Benz Club will be holding its very first SLK Day on Sunday 22nd June 2014, a day devoted exclusively to the first of the modern-generation of sports cars to feature a steel folding roof.
In the past SLK's have shared space with their larger SL cousins at the Club's long running SL Day but with the popularity of first generation models swelling Club membership SLK's are set to get a day of their own.
The setting for the event is Mercedes-Benz World, the iconic site which stands next to the historic Brooklands motor racing circuit and the Brooklands Museum, celebrating the glory days of motoring and aviation.
The date has been chosen as the Henry Surtees Foundation is holding a special family day at the same time, featuring a collection of race cars celebrating 50 years since John Surtees's 1964 championship win. The day will include demonstrations around the tracks, some special AMG rides and lots besides to see and do.
A Shine and Show competition will be held and experts from the Club's technical team will be on hand to answer queries from SLK owners.
The event is open to members and non-members.
