Canadian Author’s Debut Novel Releases This Week

Hilarious Romantic Comedy by Author Michelle Lam Generates Positive Reviews

CALGARY, Alberta - Feb. 19, 2014 - PRLog -- First-time author Michelle Lam releases her ebook this week. The book, entitled, The Accidental Prophetess, is due to release on February 24th everywhere ebooks are sold.

“Growing up on a strawberry farm in rural Manitoba meant I had to have an imagination, because what else is there to do besides tell stories when you’re picking strawberries with your siblings? I’ve been inventing stories since I was a child. The Accidental Prophetess is my first full-length novel, and it was a ton of fun to write. I hope people like reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.”

The story is of Natalie Richards, a marketing guru who knows how to make a video go viral. But when she’s fired over a dish soap ad, she complains and the words she uses activate an ancient prophecy. She gets abducted, whisked underground, and proclaimed to be a long-lost prophet destined to save the world. The threats against world peace are real, but then again, so is the need to breathe fresh air and have a decent haircut.

Early reviews of the book are favourable. A user on Goodreads wrote that the book has, “just the right amount of action and light-hearted humour.” The book is compared to Janet Evanovich’s “Plum Series.”

Interested readers can find the ebook on Kobo Books, Amazon, Itunes, or Barnes & Noble. More about the author can be found on her blog: www.michellelamauthor.wordpress.com facebook: www.facebook.com/meeshlam or twitter: www.twitter.com/authormichellam
