Friday, February 28th Rio Carnaval Comes to Los Angeles with show by Daniela Brazil

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - Feb. 19, 2014 - PRLog -- The Conga Room (named the Best Latin Dance Club in Los Angeles by CBS Los Angeles), is announcing the celebration of the “Brazilian Carnaval” taking place merely hours after it starts in Rio de Janeiro on Friday, February 28th.    Brazilian Samba Dancer, Daniela Brazil and the Oya Brazil Samba Show will perform with their ensemble of 10 Hot Samba dancers and 4 Brazilian percussionists to create the electrifying magic of Samba.  With special celebrity guest Percussionist Victor Orlando (http://victororlandomusic.com/ Grammy nominated & NAACP Award nominee former percussionist of The Gap Band has played with everyone from LL Cool J to Chaka Khan).  A special guest appearance of DJ Lu Rox, one of the Hottest DJ’s in town will be spinning throughout the night.

The Red Carpet starts at 9 p.m. with the arrival of Celebrity VIPs. The Conga room is not only honoring the country of Brazil by hosting the Carnaval festivities, but they will also be hosting several World Cup Parties this coming June, celebrating the 2nd time Brazil hosts this annual event since 1950.  Brazil has won five World Cup titles, a formidable home team opponent to every visiting nation they face.  The Conga room is the place to be for dancing and celebrating Brazil from Carnaval to World Cup!!!

About Daniela Brazil:  Celebrity dancer, Daniela Brazil, has performed with world class talents including NEO, Nelly and Will Smith. She has appeared on hit shows like Jay Leno, Ellen, and Networds Telemundo, Univision and KTLA.  She has danced all over the world at primetime awards ceremonies like the Nickelodeon Awards, BET Awards, and VIBE Awards to name a few.  She is a Spokes Model as well as a Wardrobe, Costumer & Choreographer for National commercial spots for such brands as Wendy's and a national Nike.  Ms. Brazil and her performance troupe have appeared at the Nickelodeon Awards, and on Music Artist Nelly’s “Flap Your Wings”.   Brazil has toured the world spreading the joy and excitement of Samba through the U.S., China, Queen Mary’s Carnaval in Long Beach, California and numerous awards shows.  Brazil has participated in folkloric shows with the choreographers of Oba Oba and Plataforma I and regularly performs in the most famous Brazilian Carnaval Parade in Rio de Janeiro.  This year, she will be making a rare Los Angeles appearance.

Carnival celebrations are in just about every corner of Brazil, and the Conga Room is bringing this celebration of Brazil to Los Angeles on February 28th, 2014, Red Carpet starting at 9 p.m.  Rio Carnaval is 5 days of celebration, 40 days before Easter. Officially starting on Friday, February 28th this year and finishes on Fat Tuesday, March 4th (also known as Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Tuesday), the day preceding Ash Wednesday which is the first day of Lent March 5th.  In Rio it’s summer peak and the hottest month in the Southern Hemisphere.
