Since July of last year, Loqate has brought on several new hires and continues to demonstrate steady growth within the company. The recent year’s transition from start-up to small company has required more office space to meet the increasing size of its workforce. With the expansion came several promotions within the company. Geoff Roach who joined Loqate in 2011 heading the Marketing Department, was promoted from VP, Operations to Chief Operating Officer in January. Masako Takagi who joined the Sales Team last July was promoted to VP, Sales. Uma Ramamurthy who also joined the Engineering Team in 2011, was promoted to Senior Engineering Manager and now leads the Support, Development and Infrastructure teams.

Geoff Roach is a veteran of technology companies ranging from multinationals to startups. Prior to joining Loqate, Geoff led marketing and sales units at Cullinet, Digital Equipment, Informix, Pure Software, Callidus Software and other tech companies. His successes also include leading a team at an industry analyst firm and working in early-stage venture / angel investing. Like others at Loqate, he has an international perspective including living and working in Paris, France. Geoff has an MS in computer science with a database focus as well as an MBA and a doctorate degree in business administration. A native of New Orleans, Geoff is still trying to make the perfect gumbo while enjoying and playing great jazz.

Masako Takagi brings a wealth of talent and experience to the Loqate Sales Team. Prior to joining Loqate, Masako was Director of Industry Solution Partner Programs and Sales, Americas at Autodesk where she developed programs for ISV and OEM partners including co-selling, marketing and development. Prior to that, Masako had a 10-year career with IBM in numerous domestic and International focused roles including two years in Hong Kong. Masako also worked at Sony for three years in Tokyo in Business Development and Sales leadership. Masako has an academic background in Cross-Cultural Studies where she holds a BA in International Relations. She is also fluent in Japanese.

Uma Ramamurthy has been responsible for leading the Development Team in the last year and will now manage the Support and Infrastructure teams as well. Prior to joining Loqate, Uma has worked in several technology companies including Parametric Technology Corporation, Abaqus Inc. (acquired by Dassault Systèmes),  Ixia Inc. and Industrial Origami Inc. Uma’s academic background includes a MS in Mechanical Engineering. Uma’s main interests are in algorithms and most recently in machine learning.  Other interests include the subject of mathematics and physics and solving puzzles.
