Guy and a Leash Dog Training Expanding to Brighton

New Dog Training Classes Will Start on Saturday, February 22 in Brighton, Colo.

PRLog - Feb. 17, 2014 - BRIGHTON, Colo. -- Guy and a Leash Dog Training (http://www.guyandaleash.com/) (Guy and a Leash) is opening a new dog training facility – and the company’s first official headquarters – in Brighton, at the intersection of Main Street and West Southern Street.  Founded by Troy Mills in 2008, the company also offers classes throughout the Northern Metro area with part-time locations in Broomfield, Denver and Wheat Ridge.

Troy says the company is “excited to be opening our center in Brighton.  It is a pleasure to be able to support dogs and their owners in such a wonderful community.”

Guy and a Leash is dedicated to helping dog owners make the most of their relationships with their canine companions. The company’s philosophy is rooted in the idea that spending time with your dog should be fun and rewarding for both parties. As such, they take a humane, intelligent and positive approach to training. They aim to provide dog owners with the support that they need to have happy, healthy and fulfilling relationships with their dogs.

Guy and a Leash offers a wide variety of training classes, including Puppy Socialization, Group Obedience classes for dogs of all ages, and workshops that target specific problem behaviors such as leash walking and recall. Guy and a Leash also offers private in-home training and Canine Nosework classes. Furthermore, with the advantage of a full-time facility, the company plans to expand its services to include other canine sports such as agility.

Classes (now enrolling) are set to begin on February 22nd and will include Puppy Manners, Obedience 1 and Puppy Socialization. The Puppy Manners course is an open-enrollment class for puppies 8-20 weeks and focuses on all the basics of good behavior. Obedience 1 is a regular course for dogs over 5 months old and will help your dog master the basic skills he needs to be a happy and manageable family member.  Drop-in Puppy Socialization classes will be held Mondays from 7pm-7:50pm and Saturdays from 9:30am-10:20am and aim to help puppy parents take full advantage of their new puppy’s critical socialization period.  A free orientation is required before attending group obedience classes and will provide pet parents with information to help them make the most of their training experience.

A Grand Opening Ceremony, which will be open to the public, will be announced shortly.
