PRLog - Feb. 17, 2014 - PORTLAND, Ore. -- Using their patent pending custom silicon servers to do all the backend matching of the music, the popular music recognition app Juked is able to give millions of users matching song information to a wide array of music with just a few “taps” on their Apple device.

“The downside to the song-matching competitor Shazam’s Auto Tag feature (who followed shortly after the debut of Juked), is that their app only allows users to run in the background for 1 hour in the background. If you test out Shazam’s system, you will quickly notice that it matches with a reduced set of songs. If you run the app in the foreground and tag songs you can get anything Shazam has in its library, which is about 8 million songs. But, in “always on mode,” it’s matched to a much smaller library which is only a small percentage of their library.” - President, Ravosh Samari. “With our own music application Juked, full background matching has been continuous since day one so users can be assured that the songs are being tagged in the background to Juked’s entire music library, not just a sliver of it. We believe users will only benefit more with our 2.0 version.”
Released in January of this year, Juked’s new 2.0 version features a wide variety of better controls and options including a new user interface, a much faster song matching application requiring just 2 seconds of song-exposure and the ability to add songs either they or their friends have tagged or from the top iTunes charts.
Additionally, Juked now provides users with a 90 second preview of the song if they don’t own it. If a user does own that particular track, the app will proceed to play the entire song for them instantly. Users can also now play their friends' playlist, email their own playlist, and even see in real-time what their friends are listening to as well.
The makers of Juked have also included new quality features that include YouTube links to music videos right from the mobile music app, links for instant iTunes purchasing, voting on songs and the ability to see what friends vote. As always, the Juked music app still provides users with the ability of run music matching with their Apple device in the background all day long.
The company encourages everyone to get their hands on their latest version of Juked at The iTunes Store (https://itunes.apple.com/
Developed in 2013, Juked released the first version of its IOS app in April. The app was the first music recognition app in the world to run continuously in the background. Such a feature enables users to run the app with their phone locked while still having the ability to tag songs they listen to throughout the entire day.
