Nutrition is an integral part of healing and maintenance of health. Poor nutritional status in pre, peri and post-operative surgical patients leads to less than optimal outcomes. Nutrition intervention is necessary for treatment of solid organ/s failure and transplant patients. Prior to transplantation, patients if not properly managed can suffer from certain degree and type of malnutrition and are at high risk for nutritionally-mediated complications.

This conference of IAPEN will provide such a forum for multidisciplinary interaction on transplant nutrition. There will be an interactive session on “Planning nutrition intervention for transplant patients”. The plenary talks include
overview of disease leading to end stage organ failure, Pre, acute post transplant and long term post transplant nutritional management, Nutritional monitoring post transplant, transplantation and Immune nutrition, case studies, food etc.,
