Jodde Maree has been writing short stories, poems and lyrics since the age of thirteen.Jodde Maree grew up in the inner suburbs of Sydney, later on moving to the north of the town. There, she was inspired into creativity by her non-biological mother (an orchestra conductor) who had a profound influence on her creative energy. Through her writing, Jodde Maree intends to address the human condition as, according to her, everyone deserves validation through her words. Words that, she hopes, will resonate in people’s inspiration. Jodde Maree currently resides in Sydney.

        Hunter

         Windsblow with hissing,
         biting at each moment,
         the howling night
         prowls with wonder
         as silvery delights
         fill a night's treasure,
         as stars blast
         sights peering,
         burning, glimmmering,
         met with pride,
         hearts gather to hunt,
         a noble warior
         the great, southern sky!...

Reactive Flesh...

Your flesh
alive as
white porcelain
Chipped but
not completely
 broken
Reacting
towards desire
you flitter like
a well tamed
flame
Subtle
candlelight
tries to contain
your ambience
As you
try to
walk away
And all we
held together
now hangs in
empty frames
Reacting
only when
you believe
there is no
forgiveness
Although
you have exploded
into burning ashes
my heart
The remains
of your devastation
have left
a dark hole
If I am
lucky
I won’t fall in...
And drown
by your
intensity
of a love which
now is running cold...
