NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Feb. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- It's hard to think of country music without the name, Garth Brooks.  His rise to fame, humble beginnings and legendary songs cultivated audiences across the globe. He's known to become retired and unretired on a consistent basis and each time is bigger and bigger news.  On February 6th, Brooks made a special guest appearance on the final episode of the Tonight Show with Jay Leno as the host.  Over the years, Brooks has been a regular musical guest on the Tonight Show and shares a special friendship with Jay Leno.  That's why Jay asked Brooks to be on the last show where Leno has hosted since 1992.

After a memorable interview and performance by Billy Crystal (Jay's first ever guest), the spotlight moved to Garth Brooks as he performed the song, "The Dance", at Leno's request.  The song was a beautiful performance that touched the heart of the audience.  After a quick break, Leno said his heartfelt goodbye, crediting producers, writers and staff members for his success and then again turned the spotlight to Brooks, this time he played "Friends in Low Places".  The audience sang along and it was yet another touching moment to close out the final show of Jay Leno's illustrious career in late night television.

During the show, Garth was wearing an obvious hint at a tour right on his head.  A baseball cap reading, "Garth Brooks World Tour" was present for the entirety of both songs as well as a heartfelt tribute to his friend, Jay Leno.  Also noticeable, the "B" emblem, clearly placed on his guitar symbolizing the passing of his half sister, Betsy Smittle, last November.  The "B" was placed on his guitar as a tribute to Betsy where it will remain for a year according to Brooks.

Garth recently performed several shows in Las Vegas at the Wynn Resort and Casino where he sold out every show.  One show in November was televised live on CBS.  CBS also had a question and answer session with fans before the live show where fans submitted questions and Brooks answered the questions on camera.  Garth hinted several times about an upcoming tour which "has not been announced yet".  With subtle hints and careful vocabulary, Brooks confirmed tour plans without coming out and saying it.

Rumors have been spreading for years that Garth Brooks would not return to touring until his youngest daughter graduated from high school so he could spend significant time with her as she is in school.  Well, this year, she is a senior and will be graduating in 2014.  These rumors look to be becoming a reality.  Garth just announced a concert at Croke Park in Dublin Ireland.  The stadium holds nearly 80,000 fans for concerts.  When the concert sold out within minutes, a second show was quickly added.  And then a third and then a fourth and then a fifth, all selling out.  Brooks sold 400,000 concert tickets to the shows in Dublin in less than 90 minutes.  The 5 shows will be July 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th, 2014.  Aiken Promotions, Garth's promotion company, has denied an additional show in Ireland and stated that the 5th show will be the final show in Ireland for now.

Ticket prices from ticket resellers like StubHub and Front Row King are showing Garth Brooks tickets (http://www.frontrowking.com/buy-garth-brooks-concert-tick...) starting around $200 USD.  The 2014 concert lineup in the US is especially hot for country music.  Major talents such as Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum, Florida Georgia Line, George Strait and Tim McGraw have already announced tours this summer.  Missing in action this summer is Taylor Swift and Kenny Chesney.  A Garth Brooks comeback tour would clearly push country music into the concert spotlight in summer 2014, especially seeing that major ballparks and stadiums are acting as venues for some these concerts instead of small venues like amphitheatres and arenas.

Garth Brooks made an announcement on Good Morning America on ABC a few months back stating that he is preparing for an upcoming world comeback tour.  With no specific details being announced, the comeback tour looks as if it's right around the corner.  Sources also indicate that 2014 is just the beginning and that Brooks has plans for a 3 year tour!  Some evidence is pointing towards a run in the US and Canada after the Dublin shows.  For instance, the Boston Red Sox have filed for a concert permit for August 7th, 8th and 9th while Fenway Park is vacant because of a Red Sox road trip. However, they are not announcing who or what those dates are reserved for in August.  When you're as big as Garth Brooks is, it's expected that your comeback tour will be bigger than just small arenas and amphitheaters, perhaps bigger venues like stadiums and ballparks (example: Croke Park in Ireland).  After all, not everyone can say they've sold 128 million albums, not everyone can say they're a legend. Garth Brooks can, but he won't.
