Used Nappies anyone? Successful green business for sale!

Feb. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- A staggering 90,000 auctions have been listed on www.usednappies.co.uk since mum of two Sarah Bennett set up the site in April 2007, with over 14,000 parents registering with this unique auction service to buy and sell their little ones’ used washable nappies.

By recycling and reselling their babies cloth nappies, parents who use the service are helping to reduce the number of disposables used in the UK and ultimately ending up in landfill. The site is also a great way for parents to try cloth nappies at a lower cost than buying brand new.

Did you know, a shocking 8 million disposable nappies are thrown away EVERY DAY in the UK?  Washable cloth nappies offer parents an alternative to disposables, providing the opportunity to reduce their total household waste and the impact on the environment.  With fortnightly rather than weekly waste collection in most areas, now is the ideal time for more parents to try out cloth nappies.  Why fill your wheelie bin with disposable nappies every fortnight?  By using washable nappies, parents can make a significant difference to the amount of waste they dispose of.
