VVDN Technologies , announced the availability of its MIPI Camera Board  for the Wandboard development platform. Based on the Aptina™ MT9M114 HD market leading 720p30 image sensor with built-in image processing, and the MIPI I/F the Camera Board provides developers, integrators and hobbyists with a high resolution, high quality image and video capture platform at an extremely affordable price. The MIPI Camera Board is being offered through VVDN’s embedded solutions portal RadiumBoards at www.radiumboards.com.

Wandboard is a low power complete computer based on the Freescale i.Mx6 Development Board. The Wandboard is an open source project built around the ARM Cortex A9 powered Freescale i.Mx6 CPU and the MIPI Camera Board interfaces directly to the CSI-2 MIPI interface on the Wandboard. Choosing an SOC rather than a standalone sensor, reduces the amount of system engineering and image quality tuning, which also improves customer’s time to market.

The MIPI Camera Board For Wandboard  includes, a 1.26 MP Lens, 2-lane MIPI CSI-2 camera module with 100mm flexible PCB length, full schematics and Linux and Android driver support with source code.
