Scott Helmer Adds Performance Dates At Campgrounds, Ranches and Resorts During Upcoming US Tour

PHOENIX - Feb. 12, 2014 - PRLog -- National touring and recording artist Scott Helmer has opened for iconic acts including Heart, Eddie Money, Big Country and 3 Doors Down, and when he embarks on his next US tour in May, he will once again provide opening support for some of the biggest names in music.  In addition, he will headline shows at more than fifty historic vaudeville theaters across the country including The Grand Opera House (http://www.thegrandoperahouse.com/), Dubuque, IA, and the Gem Theatre (http://www.gemtheatre.com/), Detroit, MI.  If that weren’t enough, Helmer has now announced that he will also be adding performance dates at campgrounds, ranches and resorts along his tour route.

Bay Harbor Motor Coach Resort (http://www.signaturervresorts.com/bayharbor/), Bay Harbor Michigan, Resort at Paws Up (http://www.pawsup.com/), Greenough, MT and Cozy Creek Family Campground, Tunkhannock, PA, are just three of the venues that have already booked Helmer to perform at their properties. Helmer will perform solo-acoustic at these types of venues for a flat fee of $250 and crowds can expect an upbeat and energetic two hour show consisting of rock and country favorites, in addition to his own material.  The show is perfect for all ages and fans will get to see what he does on arena and theatre stages across the US, in an intimate, up close and personal setting.

Helmer’s upcoming tour will be in support of his new CD, Wake Me When It’s Over (https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/wake-me-when-its-over-ep/id657625285). Recorded at the Waterfront Studios of Grammy award-winning producer Henry Hirsch (whose credits include Lenny Kravitz, Madonna and Mick Jagger), this contagious, radio-friendly rock album was written and performed by Helmer and his photographer-musician brother, Rich Helmer. Its songs describe journeys of pain and loss, but ultimately point towards a pathway of hope.

“In 2008 I made a huge mistake and lost everything. Without the help of my family and a few close friends, I would have been living on the streets,” he explains of his reasons behind the campaign. “So from my own experience, I know just how important a support system can be to help out with even the most basic of human needs; food, shelter and most importantly, hope.”
