Aquillrelle Poetry Contest 6 - 2014

Contest fees:

1 poem $5

2 poems $8

Each following poem + $1 (e.g. 3 poems $9, 4 poems $10 etc.)

Contest will be open from February 14 to October 15.

Prizes:

The entirety of the contest fees will be shared between the winners.

1^st place 50%

2^nd place 30%

3^rd place 20%

Places 4, 5 and 6 will receive each one copy of The Aquillrelle Wall of Poetry, book two.

Conditions:

1.   -  each poem 25 lines at most (exclusive of title and empty lines).

2.     - subject: be the voice of your shoes.

3.     -  any type/style except haiku and rhyme.

4.      - any number of poems, in any number of emails (we will keep count of the total number sent).

5.     -  past Aquillrelle winners are requested not to participate in this contest.

6.      -  poetry can be new, old, published, etc... if you still own the copyright.

-   poets keep the copyright for the submitted poems at all time.

You agree that your poem might be included in an eventual anthology of poems, resulting from this contest.

This contest is not anonymous, yet no favoritism will be extended J - the decision will be based on the quality of the poems (as perceived by the judges) alone. The judges’ decision is final.

You can send your poem(s) either as attachment to or in the body of an email. Please title the email: Aquillrelle Poetry Contest 6.

Payment:

1.       PayPal only, for aquillrelle@yahoo.com. Please define reason for payment as “service”.

2.       Poems sent but not paid for will be disqualified.

3.       Overpayment will not be returned.

4.       If your PayPal address/email is different than your Email address/email please let us know so that we allocate the payment correctly.

Winners:

Winners will be made public before December 31, 2014. They will be informed personally by email as well. Payment of the prizes will be made to same PayPal address as payment received. The winners will have to confirm by return email that they are willing to accept the prize to their Paypal address, inside one month from our message; if no return email is received the prize will be declared forfeit.

The winners will be asked to volunteer a picture and a short bio; winning poems will be published on-line on the Aquillrelle site.
