SFE Energy Helps Recovery Efforts

CHESTER, Pa. - Feb. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- In partnership with United Way of Chester County and American Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania, SFE Energy has made a substantial contribution to the ice storm recovery efforts in Chester County and the surrounding areas.

SFE Energy CEO, Gerry Haggarty states, “No one can truly be prepared for a storm of this magnitude. We are happy to lend a hand to the United Way in their mission to help alleviate some of the stress that PECO customers are facing.”

The record ice storm that affected Chester County and the surrounding counties has made national news. A supplier to PECO Energy, SFE Energy was well aware of the challenges that our region faced and reached out to United Way of Chester County to help in the recovery efforts. SFE Energy’s contribution will go to supporting the disaster recovery mission of United Way partner American Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania and be put to immediate use helping families affected by the storm get back on their feet.

They became aware of the emergency at hand and immediately stepped in to help. We are proud that United Way can be the vehicle to help those in need for those who want to help.”

United Way of Chester County continues to accept donations to aid in the ice storm. The Share the Warmth program will address short term needs, such as fuel oil assistance and weather related home repairs, while the Long Term Recovery Committee is available for future needs. Donations can be designated to either Share the Warmth or Long Term Recovery.
