Create a unique heart as Valentine's day gift

UTRECHT, Netherlands - Feb. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- With Valentine’s day coming up any maker is looking for some home made gift. You can of course use your 3D printer to create a unique gift in plastic. Still, for a longlasting gift you can better use a CNC milling machine to carve in wood: a warm material that will cause your gift to be cherished for a long time.

A new Gallery project on the DeskProto website shows how to CNC machine a heart, in a video made by a DeskProto user. The video shows the heart machined in walnut wood, with a truly attractive result.

The gift can be made unique by engraving the name of your beloved one (or any other text) on the heart, which can be done by projecting a 2D text on the curved surface below. It is even possible to convert a picture to a relief and project that on the heart.
