Fearless Five - Be Fearless & Book Series
- Feb. 11, 2014 - HOUSTON -- The Fearless Five™ - New Product Announcement
Steve Johnson, owner of HNK Concepts, a product development company, has announced the launch of the “Be…Fearless”
apparel series under the company’s Fearless Five concept. The Fearless Five concept is based on a team of young, black children spending their free time using their imaginations to be superheroes. “As parents, we desire to see children grow up believing that they are powerful and full of potential. We are excited to be contributing to the development of a positive self image in children, especially our young, black children,” said Mr. Johnson. “Enhancing the self concept of black children is critically important, given the fact that they are bombarded so early in life with imagery that effectively devalues their self concept at such a critical stage. We want to change that by having them see images of children that resemble them in a positive light.”
The creation of the Fearless Five concept itself evolved from the lack of product choice in the marketplace offering positive self-imagery for young, black children. “With the “Be…Fearless”
series, we want to not only offer more product choice but also build up the children by offering encouraging and empowering messages,” stated Mr. Johnson. The first product from the Fearless Five concept was a five-part picture book series, for ages 3 to 9 years old. The popular book series offers world-class artwork and exciting storylines coupled with positive themes around teamwork, determination, self-esteem, caring for others and caring for the environment.
There are five t-shirt designs under the “Be…Fearless”
series each of which offers an uplifting and positive message with an individual team member. The t-shirt designs are being offered by HNK Concepts in limited colors and are available for $14.99 each and can be ordered directly through the Fearless Five website: http://www.fearlessfive.com
. The book series is also available through the Fearless Five website for $4.99 each.
Mr. Johnson said, “We want to see all children, especially young, black children, believing in themselves. This is our effort toward realizing that goal.”
