PRLog - April 11, 2014 - NEW YORK -- How did a piglet inadvertently become Jack’s “stepbrother?”
Jack and Zach - The Talk of the Town
Besides its humor, this wonderfully illustrated story shows the importance of developing self-esteem. Its comics feature the two key characters of Jack and Zach, who learn some life lessons, as they become the best of friends. Written and illustrated by Paul Amelio, the story follows a young boy named Jack, who becomes attached to a runt piglet that was discovered on a cold day family trip just before Halloween at a pumpkin farm in upstate New York. The piglet is considered a misfit and is offered to Jack’s mother in return for her patronage.
The cartoons in the book foster a positive outlook that edify the importance of being ambitious, without losing the curiosity and carefree nature that makes being a kid so fascinating. Join along with this young boy and his pig, as their antics become The Talk of the Town.

About the Author: Born in Italy, Paul Amelio settled in New York. As a child, his love of comic books turned into a creative passion for him, as he began writing and developing comics of his own. His childhood interest evolved into a successful advertising and marketing career. Although still dedicated to his profession, he came to realize that giving back to society was an irresistible obligation. Jack and Zach’s origin emanates from when the author was nine years old. A close family friend had a child born with visible birth defects. The child was treated as any other he knew, and was provided with love and care that was deeply instilled within Paul’s thoughts ever since. He never forgot that child, whose name he remembers only as Jack.
