NEW YORK - Feb. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- According to the Information Security Forum (http://www.securityforum.org) (ISF), a global, independent information security body considered the world's leading authority on cyber security and information risk management, attackers have become more organized, attacks have become more sophisticated, and threats are more dangerous to an organization’s reputation than ever before. In addition, brand reputation, and the trust dynamic that exists amongst suppliers, customers and partners have become very real targets for cybercriminals and hacktivists.

In the wake of recent, high profile attacks at major retailers such as Target, Neiman Marcus and Michaels, protecting your brand and recovering from potential reputational damage has never been more important. With the speed and complexity of the threat landscape changing on a daily basis, all too often businesses are being left behind, sometimes in the wake of major reputational and financial damage. Organizations need to ensure they are fully prepared and engaged to deal with these ever-emerging challenges.

During this webcast, Steve Durbin, Global Vice President of the ISF, will look at the impact attacks can have on brand and discuss the key steps that can be taken to protect reputation and deal with such attacks effectively. Businesses of all sizes must equip themselves to better deal with an attack on reputation. The faster they can respond, and the more they know about the particular issues that are being raised by hacktivist groups or virally and can say credibly what their position is, the less severe the impact will be.
