RAYMORE, Mo. - Feb. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- Fundraising efforts take on many styles and faces across schools seeking support of their programs.  On Sunday March 2nd, a first of its kind unique event will be held that ‘invests in people, hearts and family fun’.  The 4:30 to 6:30 pm event held at the Raymore-Peculiar High School gym will deliver loads of laughter, entertainment, music, videos and messages of encouragement and inspiration.

Michael Joiner, Carey Casey and Paul Coffman along with Joiner's 14 year old son Jack headline the 2 hours of fast paced fun.

Michael Joiner, 3-time ‘Clean Comic of the Year’ is the featured guest.  Joiner will bring his spontaneous and interactive comic skills to the fundraiser. He’ll be joined for some teenage humor by his son Jack, an upcoming teen comedian in America.  Joiner has also appeared and starred in multiple Hollywood based films and movies in recent years.

Carey Casey is the CEO of the National Center for Fathering, which also is the headquarters for Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students). Casey will encourage family life and especially Dads. Casey is the author of the book ‘Championship Fathering.’

Paul Coffman, a Green Bay Packer Hall of Famer and former Kansas State Tight End will share stories of his sports and football life.  Coffman and his wife Amy, are the parents to four former standout athletes at Ray-Pec High School. Chase, Camille, Carson and Cameron Coffman were all standouts in Panther athletics.

“After the Olympics have just ended, the weather’s turning better and just before March Madness starts people can have a late Sunday afternoon with family and friends to laugh and just have upbeat fun.  We guarantee you’ll leave this event smiling and with extra ‘pep in your step!’ noted Dan Snell, one of the organizers for the Ray-Pec Band Boosters Group.

The Ray-Pec High School Band have been active regionally and nationally, bringing home trophies from numerous competitions in recent years. They appeared in the 2012 Holiday Bowl. The program is recognized in Missouri as one of the top bands in the state under the leadership of Band Director John Wilson and his staff.

Snell added, “The band plays for football and basketball games and enjoys that.  Now we’re wanting those fans to join us and cheer on the band at the two hours of exceptional fun. This is a ‘Get Motivated Seminar’ meets high school organizational fundraising.”

The event, called “Pep in your Step 2014’ will be a fast paced 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm event, is open to the general public. Tickets are $10. Coupons valued at over $50 accompany each ticket.  All proceeds go to support the school’s band organizations.  Photo opportunities with the speakers after the event will be available.  For more information, or to purchase tickets go to www.RPBands.com  or PepinyourStepRally.com
