Standard Insurance Takes Title to the Subic Bay to Boracay Race and the Boracay Cup Regatta 2014

Feb. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- Standard Insurance takes title to the Subic Bay to Boracay Race and the Boracay Cup Regatta 2014 Series promising the biggest Asian Yachting events in Subic Bay and Boracay to be the most exciting ever. The sponsorship was forged with Standard Insurance CEO Judes Echauz at the Manila Club on January 8, 2014.

The day before at the Tourism Updates and Plans Conference at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center, Chairman Bobby Garcia has announced the SBMA's usual and annual support for the Regatta that will be held from February 28-March 7 including the next succeeding Commodores' Cup Regatta in Subic Bay on April 22-28. This has put the Philippines in the southeast Asian region sailing map and Subic Bay in particular as the country's premier sail racing destination and capital. Grand prix yachts from China, Hongkong, Malaysia, Singapore with top notch sailors from all over the globe vie for the overall winner of the Series for points to determine the Asian Skipper and Yacht of the year. The combined regatta was won last year by local yacht Karakoa skippered by Ray Ordoveza. Judes Echauz who is also the Skipper of Centennial III is one of the serious contenders for the prestigious Cup and Trophy awarded to the winner.
