Exhibition Announcement: WOVENSOULS presents 'Vanishing Cultures' Mar 7-9, The Arts House, Singapore

An Exhibition & Sale of Fine Art Photo Prints and Antique Traditional Art from various cultures of Asia
 
CENTRAL, Singapore - Feb. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- The exhibition showcases the work of Jaina Mishra, an award winning photographer, a cultural speaker and cultural writer. Her soul-capturing portraits of tribals and ethnic minorities have been exhibited in Montreal, Singapore and Mumbai earlier. In 2013, Esplanade Singapore presented her work in a series titled ‘Sounds of Shanti’.

Also showcased are antique textiles, antique jewelry and antique folk paintings created by nameless artists from the vanishing cultures. Some of the pieces are museum quality pieces while others are extremely rare examples of their category.

Over 120 decorative / collectible pieces from South Asia – from India to Indonesia - will be exhibited alongside photos that capture the spirit of vanishing cultures of the region.

Museum quality Sumatran Tampans, Heirloom Ikat Patolas, rare Phad paintings, exotic Naga beads, and several once-in-a-lifetime finds will be available will be available for acquisition on a first-come basis.
