The last time Lita was near Pittsburgh in 2012, she performed on the same stage with multiple national acts Def Leppard and Poison in Burgettstown. For the concert at the Rex Theater, Lita will be the only headliner and fans will get to see her perform more songs than she did at the Pavilion. Support act for the concert will be 11After an all-female rock band from Akron, OH.
Lita Ford was born in London, England, and grew up in Los Angeles. She became the lead guitarist in the all-girl hard rock band The Runaways, whose debut album was released in 1976. With their punkish sound, provocative stage outfits and rebellious lyrics, the band shocked many in the rock world, and achieved mild popularity until they broke up in 1979. Ford then enjoyed a successful solo career with such hits as "Kiss Me Deadly" and "Close My Eyes Forever" a duet with Ozzy Osbourne. She released a new album, Living Like A Runaway, last year.
