Find My iPhone™ Activation Lock is No Longer an Obstacle for Mobile Device Renewal Companies

SUNNYVALE, Calif. - Feb. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- SUNNYVALE, CA — Feb 7, 2014 — Mobile device recyclers and reverse logistics operators got a leg up on handling iPhones today, as FutureDial announced more enhancements to its GreenT^™ mobile device wiping solution and iRT^™ device reading tool. GreenT and iRT now handle more iPhone models, as well as support for Android and Blackberry smart phones and tablets. In addition, GreenT and iRT now identify those iOS devices which have the Find My iPhone^™ (or Find My iPad^™) Activation Lock enabled.

Detection of Find My Phone^™Setting

Many iPhones traded-in for refurbishing and recycling often have Apple’s Find My iPhone^™ Activation Lock enabled which can prevent businesses from renewing these devices. FutureDial’s GreenT^™ and iRT^™ now detect whether the Find My iPhone^™ setting is activated. This alerts the line operator to set aside those iPhones for special consideration or processing.

In addition to the Find My iPhone^™ Activation Lock detection, FutureDial’s GreenT^™ and iRT^™ now have added support for iPhone 5C and 5S models, as well as expanded coverage of Android and Blackberry devices within iRT^™. This helps recyclers to quickly and accurately receive, track and data-clear these devices within their production lines.
