Both the new Honda Civic Hybrid and Civic Natural Gas vehicles will offer strong fuel efficiency ratings. The 2014 Civic Hybrid delivers EPA-estimated fuel economy numbers of 44 city/45 highway/47 combined mpg, while the new Civic Natural Gas offers an EPA-estimated 27 city/38 highway/31 combined mpg fuel economy. The Civic Hybrid will come powered by an in-line four cylinder engine that delivers 110 hp and 127 lb-ft of torque. The 2014 Civic Natural Gas will also be powered by an in-line four cylinder engine producing 110 hp and 106 lb-ft of torque.
Both of these new Honda models will also come equipped with new standard features, including the Expanded View Driver’s Mirror that offers a better view of a driver’s surroundings, as well as the new Display Audio with 7-inch touchscreen display. That same touchscreen is also the interface for the HondaLink system. Additional features on the Civic Hybrid include Smart Entry with Push Button Start that allows owners to get the engine started without having to turn an ignition key, while other standard features on the Civic Natural Gas include heated front seats, heated side mirrors, and a six-speaker sound system.
The 2014 Honda Civic Hybrid has an MSRP of $24,635 and will come available in standard, Navi, Leather, and Leather Navi trims, all offered with a continuously variable transmission. The 2014 Civic Natural Gas’ starting MSRP is $26,640 and is available in standard and Leather Navi trim options, both offering a five-speed automatic transmission.
