NEW YORK - Feb. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Since 1877, dog enthusiasts from around the world have braved world wars, tug boat strikes, gas shortages, and foul weather to attend the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, held every February in New York City.  Dynamic Pet Duo, Petrendologist Charlotte Reed and Dr. Michael Fleck, are no exception. These two pet industry experts have arrived in New York City to report from and provide live, up-to the-minute coverage from the iconic dog show.

On Saturday, February 8, the pet power couple will cover Westminster's first annual Masters Agility Championship.  Westminster is bringing what the American Kennel Club has deemed "the most exciting canine sport for spectators" to center stage on Westminster weekend. Dogs and their handlers excitedly attack the obstacle course of jumps, tunnels, weave poles, and more in a timed competition in the fastest-growing dog sport in the country.  The Masters Agility Championship at Westminster will be open to dogs competing at Excellent or Masters levels, including purebred dogs, mixed breeds registered in the AKC's Canine Partners program, miscellaneous breeds not yet eligible for conformation competition, Foundation Stock Service recorded breeds, and Purebred Alternative Listing dogs (purebred dogs that cannot be fully registered).  The Mixed Breed category is especially significant. The Mixed Breeds inclusion marks one of the first times since Westminster's early days that non-purebred dogs can compete in a Westminster event.

On Monday, February 10 and Tuesday, February 11, the Dynamic Pet Duo kick start their days with their "Rockin The Radio: Live From Westminster 2014 National Radio Tour".  From their ringside location in Pier 92 & 94, their reporting will be broadcast to more than 25 different radio shows across the country. They will make "appearances" in Chicago, Minneapolis, Cleveland, Detroit, Philadelphia, Boston, Tampa, Denver and other metropolitan cities to share their unique insights and up to the minute updates about the historic dog show. During their interviews they will discuss why Westminster is the "Super Bowl" of dog shows, which dog breeds are most popular at the show, and what the judges look for when evaluating the dogs competing in the Breed, Group and Best in Show rings.

In the afternoons, the couple will interview Westminster representatives, judges, owners, breeders, handlers and past Best in Show winners to give listeners timely, contemporaneous news stories about the day's events.  At night, the two will enjoy the evening competition at Madison Square Garden, including interviewing Veterinary Scholarship Winners; Junior Showmanship participants; seven group (Hound, Toy, Non-Sporting, Herding, Sporting, Working and Terrier) winners, and the Best in Show winner.

Even before the 2014 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show begins, Ms. Reed and Dr. Fleck will disseminate information, photographs and videos over Westminster Weekend from parties and charity events from their Dynamic Pet Duo Social Media channels on Twitter (@DynamicPetDuo), Facebook (DynamicPetDuo), Pinterest (Dynamic Pet Duo) and YouTube (Dynamic Pet Duo) to educate and excite everyone for the upcoming event. Be sure to add and follow the Dynamic Pet Duo so you don't miss a pic, a tweet, or a post!

The pet power couple's intimate, round-the-clock coverage of the 2014 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show promises to make you feel like you too are attending one of the greatest canine celebrations.
