BOCA RATON, Fla. - Feb. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- The ubiquity of the internet has revolutionized the way we buy and sell insurance nowadays, and the technology is improving to help increase the efficiency and accuracy of applications, making life easier for both insurance agents and their clients.

Two relatively new methods of enrollment are the e-App and drop-ticket, which do away with slow and often inaccurate paper applications, wet signatures and traditional snail-mail correspondence.

American General Quick Ticket

The American General insurance company has embraced this new technology, with its AG Quick Ticket becoming a popular way for agents to sell insurance. This allows them to spend less time filling applications and more time focusing on selling insurance, thanks to the online submission, courtesy of their simple website form.

Agents will benefit from an average 2 week turnaround time for applications, less NiGOs (applications not in good order), interviews via tele-underwriting, better placement ratios, a simpler application process and with 75% of interviews completed within 24hrs of applying.

These programs are the invention of insurance experts, for insurance experts and greatly improve the process from determining the client's requirements through quoting and submission. Each case can take as little as four minutes.

The next step with the American General Quick Ticket is it is sent to a third party vendor, ExamOne, who take on the responsibility of medical appointments and lab work, letting the agent move on to their next sale.

The iGo e-App

The iGo e-App is the name (with questionable capitalization) of a third party application which also simplifies the process of applying for a policy. Thanks to its online interface, errors will be automatically detected and information will get reviewed immediately, with no waiting periods as with postal submissions

Other benefits include quicker payment for agents, better placement ratios (up to 10% increase), less paperwork - more business, better control of individual cases and documents arrive in good order. Wet signatures are not necessary in most cases as e-signatures usually suffice. You can find more details on e-Apps and drop tickets at http://www.naaip.org/e-apps-drop-tickets.

A New Era for Insurance Sales

These tools are set to revolutionize the insurance business not just by providing more accuracy in applications, but also by speeding up the process, changing the way agents work, for the better.

As an insurance agent selling any product, NAAIP the National Association of Accredited Insurance Professionals recommends you check out these valuable tools and ask yourself how much they could benefit you and your business.

If you have questions regarding e-apps and drop tickets, please come to the NAAIP conference call, Monday through Thursday at 12 noon, ET. Dial: 209-255-1000, ID: 464305 or visit http://www.naaip.org for details.
