Suncoast Safety Council Opens Ride Safe Motorcycle Training Range at Tyrone Square Mall

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Feb. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Suncoast Safety Council created the Ride Safe Motorcycle Training program in 2008 to comply with the motorcycle endorsement law enacted the same year. The law requires all riders in the State of Florida to successfully complete the MSF Basic RiderCourse in order to obtain a motorcycle endorsement on their Florida License. The course was developed to train and educate both novice and experienced motorcyclists and scooter riders in the physical and mental skills necessary for safe vehicle operation, and to reduce the number of motorcycle and scooter related crashes and injuries on Florida’s roads and highways.

As of February 1, 2014 Ride Safe Motorcycle Training’s range will be located at Tyrone Square Mall. Convenient two day classes are available on weekends and weekdays. The classroom portion of the motorcycle training will be held in Clearwater, FL and the range will be located at Tyrone Square Mall (next to Tires Plus).

Ride Safe Motorcycle Training provides a safe, fun and professional learning environment where you can get the motorcycle training needed to obtain your Florida motorcycle license or enhance your riding skills.  This 15 hour course (5 hr. classroom training + 10 hr. riding/practical training) satisfies all Florida motorcycle and scooter license requirements. The professional team of experienced Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) RiderCoaches help riders gain the skills needed to ride with confidence.

Ride Safe Motorcycle Training provides bikes (motorcycles and scooters) and DOT-approved helmets for training. All students must have a valid driver’s license or learner’s permit to enroll.  For the riding portion of the class students need – long sleeve shirt or jacket, denim jeans or heavy pants, over-the-ankle boots, full-fingered gloves and shatter resistant sunglasses or safety glasses.

As the only non-profit MSF motorcycle license training school in the Tampa Bay area, Ride Safe Motorcycle Training is motivated to provide the highest quality motorcycle training available to help each student reach their full motorcycle riding potential.

Private lessons and the Experienced Rider Course (not for licensure) are also available to help students improve their riding skills.
