Norplex-Micarta Appoints Environmental and Technical Safety Manager

Feb. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- POSTVILLE, IA –Norplex-Micarta, the leading manufacturer of high performance thermoset composites, is pleased to announce the promotion of Timothy Delaney to Environmental and Technical Safety Manager at the company’s Postville, IA headquarters. Mr. Delaney’s responsibilities now include all of the technical aspects of the corporate/plant safety programs, overseeing all environmental reports and training, performing safety reviews and assisting in the development and review of product development and process improvement for compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Mr. Delaney brings a wealth of experience to the position having worked in Norplex-Micarta’s engineering department the last six years. Mr. Delaney has served as a Product Development Engineer and most recently as a Manufacturing Engineer. His responsibilities included managing start-up activities and development of new products, implementing product enhancements as well as working with manufacturing personnel and relevant
equipment to ensure quality control. Mr. Delaney holds a Bachelor of Science in both Biomedical Science and Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
