Author and financial expert Murray Holland joins AMAC’s Board of Advisors

WASHINGTON - Feb. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Author and financial expert Murray T. Holland has joined the Board of Advisors of the Association of Mature American Citizens, according to Dan Weber, president of AMAC.

“The Board’s objective is to better focus on issues that are of importance to our membership and the economic condition of the nation is at the top of that list.  Murray Holland is well known for his study of the fiscal problems we face today which, to a large extent, is the result of liberal policies and regulations put into place over the past six years,” Weber said.

Holland recently published a book entitled, “A Nation in the Red,” which deals with government spending and debt and which is fast becoming an important reference source for those seeking a way out of the hole we are in, the AMAC chief noted.

In his book, Holland goes into great and well-researched detail regarding the financial fix we are in, noting that “we see every day that the liberals are lecturing their audience—students, press followers and entertainment watchers—filling their minds with the liberal message.  The liberal message is being propagated by every method available to the liberal mind, but the conservative mind does not push conservatives to proselytize.

“This whole story has to change if we are going to save the country from financial ruin, and we must pull out our secret weapon.  Probably the greatest weapon we have is to use our businesses to educate employees about financial matters.  Business owners and executives are generally well aware of financial issues and have to start talking with employees about what is happening to the country.”

He concluded that “ultimately, the impact falls to the employee, and he or she should understand how the government policies ultimately impact the economy and the individual.”

“Holland joins Fran Tarkenton, whose focus is on small business, and former Speaker of the House of Representatives Dennis Hastert on AMAC’s advisory team and will play an active role in expressing the views of our membership,” Weber said.
