Fashion Designer Dena Burton Tapped as Featured Designer During NAACP Image Awards Women's Brunch

LOS ANGELES - Feb. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Renowned for her original, elegant, and luxurious designs, Dena Burton’s designs are celebrity favorites on the red carpet and other high-profile appearances.  Burton’s classic fashion sensibilities coupled with her gift for creating memorable ensembles with luxurious fabrics put her on the NAACP’s radar.

A native of Chicago, and a graduate of Howard University with a BA in English, and Minor in Radio, Television, and Film Production, Dena relocated to Los Angeles where she began a successful career in film, television, and theatre.  Working behind the scenes further fueled her true ambition, which was to design fashionable clothing for women.

With the support of a Karen Kane scholarship, she attended The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), and the rest, as they say, is fashion history!

A veteran of the fashion industry, Dena successfully launched The Dena Burton Collection in 2008, offering classic one-of-a-kind luxury designs for the confident, accomplished, and discerning jet setter.  Burton’s designs have been presented in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and Miami, as well as internationally, in Africa and Jamaica in 2013.
