CHESTER, U.K. - Feb. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Leading Chester-based social media agency #chestertweets is holding its first ever tweet in the city to capitalise on the success of its hugely popular #chesterhour.

The free event will be held in House bar on Eastgate Row in the city centre on the 18th February, where there will be complementary tea and coffee on offer, plus free Wi-Fi courtesy of Deva Hotspot. It all starts at 7pm with an informal meet and greet session, followed by a live #chesterhour upstairs at the venue from 8pm.

#chestertweets owner Steve Jones said “We’re really looking forward to hosting our first ever tweet up. People had been asking on Twitter if we were going to do it, so we decided to see if we could.  And once we realised we could, it made sense to do it during #chesterhour as it’s now a major part of a lot of people’s Tuesday evenings. We want everyone who usually takes part to join us, as well as anyone that doesn’t, so we can meet our city’s fabulous business owners in the flesh. Please come and see us and say hello”

#chesterhour runs every Tuesday evening between eight and nine o’clock, and is a chance for Twitter users to join together to promote their favourite businesses. They simply recommend a company and use the hashtag #chesterhour which guarantees other users will see it, and their tweet will be retweeted giving it further visibility. Businesses across Chester also use the hour to showcase their services through using the hashtag.

On the night, there will be a talk from Deva Hotspot- a free to use Wi-Fi network for Chester city centre - along with a live Twitter feed. House will also allow anyone at the event to purchase drinks from its bar. There is no need to book, just simply let #chestertweets know by sending them a tweet to confirm attendance.

Steve Jones continued “Hopefully we can make this a regular event in the future if the first one goes well. The idea behind #chesterhour is to get the people and businesses of the city talking to one another, whether they’re regular Twitters users or not.  So getting them to actually meet up every so often is a great way to do it. We want the tweet up to be an informal get-together where people can have a chat and relax, without any of the pressure you sometimes get at networking events. Everyone is welcome to come and hope to see lots of local business owners and their customers there.”
