By: Pacific Heart, Lung & Blood Institute Dr Ozanian has demonstrated her knowledge of the leading trends and practices that define exemplary corporate governance today and has committed to developing professional insights through a sophisticated course of ongoing study. “I am honored to join the distinguished and diverse group of individuals who make up NACD’s Fellowship program and who have committed to advancing the highest standards of boardroom leadership,” Dr. Ozanian is a military veteran having previously served as a U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel in the Department of Defense and the Senior Policy Analyst to the Assistant Secretary in Washington, DC. She was deployed to Afghanistan in 2006, and in 2007 she served on the President’s Commission for Care of America’s Returning Wounded Warriors. In 2012 she completed a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Fellowship working in the U.S. Senate and then at the Brookings Institution. She is a researcher, a clinical social worker, and during her years in public service, Dr Ozanian amassed over a million dollars in funding for innovative technology programs in healthcare.
