OnBoard Announces Jackie Parker as New Board President

ATLANTA - Feb. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- OnBoard is the leading authority on women in the boardroom of Georgia public companies and a catalyst to increase the number of female directors on public and private for-profit company boards. The organization is pleased to announce the appointment of Jackie Parker as President of its Board of Directors. In this role, she will lead OnBoard in addressing the mission to increase the number of women in executive leadership and on corporate boards.

“I am profoundly honored to have been selected to lead OnBoard,” said Parker. “We have built a rich network of people who support the growth and development of women to the highest levels and I look forward to working with our board and supporters to increase female directors on all for-profit company boards.”

Parker is the President and Founder of JWP Consulting LLC., a consulting firm that assists corporations and nonprofits to design and implement strategies to achieve social impact. She currently serves as a board member for several community organizations including the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education, Board of Councilors of the Carter Center, YWCA-Atlanta Chapter, Leadership Atlanta, and the Atlanta Community Food Bank. She has been recognized for her leadership achievements from Who’s Who in Atlanta’s 32 Most Powerful Females, Savoy Professional Magazine Top 100 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America, and Business to Business Magazine’s Women of Excellence Award. She is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta.

Parker earned her MBA in marketing from Johns Hopkins University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in marketing from Hampton University. She resides in Roswell, Ga., with her husband and children.

Parker will be taking on the role of previous OnBoard President Constance Dierickx, Ph.D. Dierickx is an accomplished businesswoman who consults with executives and boards of directors in the U.S., Latin America, Europe and the Middle East through her company CDConsulting Group, LLC.

Rounding out the 2014 OnBoard board officers are Sarah E. Ernst of Alston & Bird as President Elect; Charles T. Huddleston as Secretary; and Stefanie Paulos ofThe Coca-Cola Companyas Treasurer.
