Roosevelt Row Community Development Corporation (CDC), a non-profit organization, invites the public to attend alaunch party celebrating the publication of "Roosevelt Row Artists' District: Creative Placemaking in Downtown Phoenix." The event will feature food from award-winning area restaurants, beverages, live music by local performers, and a presentation led by community members who contributed to the project, all who are proud to call Roosevelt Row home.
The publication is the result of a $150,000 grant awarded to Roosevelt Row CDC in 2012 by ArtPlace America, a national collaborative foundation committed to accelerating creative placemaking. With this award, Roosevelt Row CDC hosted community engagement sessions to establish priorities, new projects and guidelines for future development.
“The feedback from these sessions evolved into a publication that outlines a 5- to 10-year strategy plan for the Roosevelt Row area,” said Greg Esser, vice president and co-founder of Roosevelt Row CDC. “The Visioning Launch Party is truly a celebration of the past and the beginning of a new chapter of creative placemaking in downtown Phoenix.”
