Medical Billing Solutions, Inc. Now Offers a CPC® Boot Camp

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Feb. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Medical Billing Solutions, Inc. of Troy, IL is proud to offer their brand new Certified Professional Coder® Boot Camp classes for 2014.  The classes will be taught by Kimberly A Stevens, CPC®, CCS-P, CPMA, CMSCS, and the President of MBS, Inc.  Her decades of experience in this field give her a unique voice to teach this class, as she has worked through every update to billing techniques available, and has worked with every type of medical practice imaginable.  An organized, enthusiastic teacher, Mrs. Stevens will give her students all of the tools needed to succeed.

This Boot Camp consists of 3 days of intensive Certified Professional Coder® (CPC®) training to prepare the experienced coder for the Certified Professional Coder® (CPC®) examination given through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).  A live CPC® Certified individual teaches this Boot Camp.  Individuals enrolling in this Boot Camp will gain experience via live coding scenarios, individual and group exercises and exam taking techniques.  The 2014 AAPC CPC® exams cover ICD-9-CM, not ICD-10-CM.  All exams in 2014 are ICD-9-CM based.

This Boot Camp is held at our MBS Corporate Headquarters in Troy, Illinois.  Classes are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time with a morning and afternoon break and one hour for lunch on your own.  Each class is limited to five enrollees to ensure each enrollee receives the best learning experience possible.  We can also offer the training course in any location throughout the United States and via Skype for those not able to attend in person.  Please call us at (888) 810-0098 if you are interested in receiving training at an alternative location or connected over the internet so we may customize our training to better accommodate your needs, number of enrollees, and situation.

This Boot Camp will include material for the attendee to gain proficiency across the covered material.  This material includes E&M, Anesthesia, Surgery, Radiology, Pathology, Medicine, Cardiology, OB/Gyn, ICD-9-CM, and HCPCS.

Required books that are not included in the price of tuition are as follows:

   Current edition of the 2014 CPT
   2013 or 2014 ICD-9-CM (Vol. 1 &2)
   2013 HCPCS (2014 is expected to begin shipping the end of January, 2014 due the Government shut down in 2013 causing delays.)

**You may choose to purchase these books on your own or at a reduced price through Medical Billing Solutions, Inc. (MBS).  Purchasing these books through MBS will also ensure you are using the same books that the Boot Camp is taught with and are accepted when taking the AAPC CPC® Certification exam.
