NEW YORK - Feb. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Agnes Davis, CEO of swim swim swim I SAY (sssIS, www.swimswimswimisay.com), the only female owned and operated swimming company based in Upper Manhattan servicing Harlem and the Bronx teaches just more than swimming to over 100 students and families.

The mission of sssIS is to introduce healthy habits to students in and out of the water while encouraging changes to reduce diabetes, hypertension and drowning in African-American and Hispanic families. Davis says, “ With the New Year under way, my personal mission is to make this year about family experiences; incorporate fitness like walking or swimming lessons into one’s routine while encouraging family bonding which ultimately transform mind, body and lifestyle.”

Five years ago Agnes Davis was wrongfully terminated from her job at a top New York City hospital and had to reinvent. She went back to school, used her savings to get certified and launched swim swim swim I Say. Davis’ company teaches instructional swimming to children and adults in her neighborhood of Harlem and at CUNY Hostos College.

“February is the celebration of love - Valentine’s Day and Go Red month. Everyone will be thinking about love and the best symbol is a heart. Let’s start eating better and exercising our hearts for at least 30 minutes a day. With the addition of swimming in one’s daily routine - children and families will feel better and practice great heart health,” beams Agnes Davis.

Agnes Davis’ Tips to Healthy Living:

1)   Baby steps. Select February to walk for 10 minutes with your family.

2)   Make it colorful. Practice eating vegetables and fruits daily.

3)   Journal. Write down your weight and monitor how you feel when exercise is incorporated.

4)   Family time. Make it an activity with someone you love as you commit to a healthy lifestyle.
