DEERFIELD, Ill. - Feb. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Keith W. Sanderson the creator and host of the popular program Max A Pooch's Awesome Animal Advocates announced the program's first anniversary on Pet Life Radio network which is the  largest and #1 pet podcast radio network in the world..

Sanderson, who is also president of Max A Pooch, Inc says, "During the past year I have met some very amazing people who are working hard to save the lives of animals and/or improve their living conditions.   I want to thank Mark Winter of Pet Life Radio for providing me the opportunity to bring the stories to the millions of listeners"

Mark Winter Executive Producer and co-founder of the Pet Life Radio Network said, "Max A Pooch's Awesome Animal Advocates is unique because each episode is dedicated to awesome animal advocates, and created for them, their supporters, and pet and animal lovers everywhere. Because of this unique content the show has wide appeal to the listeners of Pet Life Radio. That appeal is due to the fact that they all  are pet and animal lovers.."

The idea for Max A Pooch's Awesome Animal Advocates was inspired by Max A Pooch  who is a real dog that Sanderson adopted from a local animal shelter. A deep bond grew between Sanderson and Max A Pooch that anyone who loves dogs will understand.

Sanderson realized that if it hadn't been for Irene Castle an entertainer and animal advocate who founded the shelter in 1929 he never would have found Max A Pooch.  Although Castle had died years ago he owed a debt of gratitude to her and the animal advocates that carried on her work at the shelter she had created.

Max A Pooch became famous as the Canine Defender of Animals and Environment by doing what most humans won't. He picks up litter and puts it in its place. He and Sanderson perform for groups drawing attention to the fact recycled (rescue) dogs such as Max A Pooch can be incredible companions, and raising awareness of the damage plastic and other litter is doing to the environment.

Because of his experience with Max and the shelter from which he adopted him, Sanderson also gave much thought about the positive impact animal advocates have not only on the animals for which they advocate, but upon the humans whose lives are changed and improved because of their work.  Sanderson used his journalistic experience   and began writing animal advocacy articles for Examiner dot Com.

The Examiner articles Sanderson wrote provided him a portfolio that proved the depth and breadth of the idea of a radio program that showcases animal advocates and the work they do. He then pitched his idea to Mark Winter of Pet Life Radio who was looking for new programming.

Winter who is always on the lookout for new and innovative programming that appeals to Pet Life Radio's audience immediately saw the appeal Max A Pooch's Awesome Animal Advocates http://www.petliferadio.com/awesomeadvocates.html has to pet and animal lovers everywhere. Max A Pooch's Awesome Animal Advocates first episode was aired in February of 2013.
