Singapore firm to honour Innovation & Excellence in Indian Education

MUMBAI, India - Feb. 2, 2014 - PRLog -- SINGAPORE, JANUARY 29 - In an unique initiative, Singapore-based Business Excellence & Research Group (BERG) has announced an Innovation & Excellence Awards in Education (IEEA) focussing on the rapidly evolving Indian education sector.

To be hosted in Singapore on March 27 this year, the event will be open to the entire spectrum of educational institutions and educational support services excluding pre-school.

“The Innovation & Excellence in Education Awards (IEEA) have been created to recognise the contribution of Educational Institutions and Educational Eco System providers in individual countries across Asia. The first edition of IEEA is focussed at India given that this sector will hold the key to India’s growth in the coming decades,“ said Mr Thomas McMahon, Chairman of the Advisory Board, BERG.

With a market size expected to cross over US$ 97 billion by 2015, the Indian education sector shows strong potential for investments due to favourable demographics. IEEA 2014 aims to recognise the very best in the sector and provide a platform to elevate the profile and brand presence of institutions. Based on a selection process that encompasses integrity, transparency, consistency and fairness, the aim is provide a global recognition and benchmark.

The categories at the awards will include School Operator, Vocational Education, Higher Education, Private University, Management Education, Technical Education, Medical Education, Undergraduate Level, Education content provider, Use of Education Technology, Supplementary Education Provider and Distance / Online Learning.

The nominations for the various categories will close by February 24, 2014 and the awards will be presented at the Awards Nite & Gala Dinner on March 27, 2014 at a glittering function in Singapore.
