Palm Coast, FL – The I AM ART/Rachel & Friends studio/gallery will premiere with “The Heart of Expression” on February 14th from 5pm to 8pm in The Hammock.
“It is a crisply contemporary artist’s venue,” said Schiff. “We are thrilled to be able to showcase contemporary art in The Hammock and have been welcomed with open arms,” she added. The art on display is modern as well as expressionistic.
The event is a soft opening for the gallery and will include live music, as well as champagne to toast the opening the studio/gallery. St. Augustine based artist Thomas Long will have his hand-blown glass sculptures featured in the studio through April. His work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Florida Design, Florida Architecture, and Coastal Living Magazines. Other accomplished artists whose work will be exhibited are Joan Dorrill and John Thompson, as well as Paula Felici, Sandra Pierce and Rachel Thompson. Le Cose Belle and Christine Sullivan’s painting studio, both in the same plaza, will be open and welcoming guests also.
Rachel’s background is in art, interior design and spiritual studies. She recently returned to Florida from Niagara County, NY. Rachel had a studio at the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center where she sojourned with Native American, expressionistic, abstract and realistic artists. She participated on behalf of the NACC and promoted the arts via radio interviews and speaking engagements. She also exhibited at the Tuscarora and Friends Gallery in Lewiston, which featured Native American art. While in NY, Rachel launched her first One Woman Show, in Florida, she has been the featured artist at St. Augustine's PASTA Gallery. Also, her “Emanation"
