The second round of fare slash was also first announced by SpiceJet which offered a 'Second Chance' 30% discount for domestic tickets booked 30 days in advance till April 15th. GoAir, Jet Airways and Jet Konnect quickly joined the party and announced similar discounts for advance purchases. Many speculate the fare war is a result of Air Asia India's promise to offer the cheapest domestic fares when it starts operations later this year.
The fares are available across all sectors and a Delhi-Mumbai fare that would cost Rs 10,098 on a last minute purchase can be bought for as low as Rs. 3,617 with the current offer. The airlines have announced that the seats made available for thee offer are limited and the availability is dependent on the flight and date. The discount is valid for all domestic tickets purchase till midnight of February 2nd.
