“Creating Hope” will begin with an elegant cocktail reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m., followed by fine dining, an honoree awards ceremony and a live auction from 7 to 9 p.m. Next up will be fabulous Club Hope entertainment from 9 to 11 p.m. Chart-topping superstar Taylor Hicks (http://taylorhicks.com/) A live auction of unique experiences also promises to delight guests, with tempting packages ranging from a one-of-a-kind Angels baseball package to a remarkable weekend at Rancho Las Lomas. Individual tickets start at $500, with premium tables of 10 available for up to $25,000. The event is generously presented by the Argyros Family Foundation; co-chairs are Eydie and Dave MacInnis. “We’re looking forward to hosting more than 300 esteemed guests as they join us in supporting the tens of thousands of families in Orange County affected by Alzheimer’s and related dementias,” said Jim McAleer, president & CEO of AAOC. “This year’s gala theme, ‘Creating Hope,’ alludes to the determination of the Alzheimer’s Association to help families find the hope in a tragic disease – through programs, services and research.” Alzheimer’s is the fourth leading cause of death in Orange County, and sixth nationwide. The Alzheimer’s Association is the primary resource for families battling this disease with free services, including a 24/7 Helpline, support groups, research trials and educational materials.
