Health IT Outcomes: New Year, New Name, New Look

Newly renamed, redesigned healthcare publication focuses on providers transforming healthcare with information technology

PRLog - Jan. 31, 2014 - ERIE, Pa. -- Health IT Outcomes (http://www.healthitoutcomes.com/) has recently completed its name change from Healthcare Technology Online and is now, more than ever, ready to serve as the premier information resource for today’s most pressing Health IT topics. The continuing mission is to provide healthcare providers with expert guidance on technology system selection, integration, project management, and change management. In addition to its online presence, Health IT Outcomes produces a bi-monthly print publication focused on peer-based content centered on best practices and implementation trends.

Health IT Outcomes editor in chief Ken Congdon writes, in his editorial Change Is Good (http://www.healthitoutcomes.com/doc/change-is-good-0001), “Healthcare Technology Online began as an online-only health IT information resource. We have since evolved into a fully integrated media outlet that includes online content, a print magazine, email outreach, social media, web events, and much more. As such, we’ve outgrown the Healthcare Technology Online moniker.”

With insight gained from consulting readers, Congdon notes selecting Health IT Outcomes as the new name “came rather easily, and we feel it more accurately reflects who we are as a media outlet. Just to be clear — our brand is all that is changing. There is no change in ownership or the staff representing this publication. We remain committed to providing you with quality health IT editorial, and we look forward to doing it as Health IT Outcomes.”

Health IT Outcomes continues to be active on Twitter (https://twitter.com/HITOutcomes) and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Health-IT-Outcomes/1376133...) as it works to cover all technology solutions that impact the productivity, efficiency, patient care, and cash flow of a healthcare facility.

The next Health IT Outcomes magazine – featuring a fresher, more streamlined design that enhances the visual appeal of the powerful original health IT articles produced by our writing staff – will be available February 3, 2014. This edition will review the results of the third annual Health IT Trends reader survey. This topic was the impetus for a first-ever print issue in 2012, and continues to be the most anticipated issue each year.
