There used to be a time when answering machines and fax machines were the top technological devices. At that point the time it took to wait for communication with business colleagues in other parts of the country or the world was exponentially longer than it is today. Businessman Anthony Amado talks about how different today’s business environment would be without the convenience of some of the technology available today.
E-mail, Skype, text message and Google Docs have all changed how business is done. Smartphones have taken all of that a step further. For busy businessman Anthony Amado, having access to e-mail, documents and more on the go is vital to being a successful businessperson. People expect an almost instant response these days. It is considered bad business practice to not respond to a text or e-mail in a timely fashion.
The use of smartphones and other technology is extremely convenient and helpful for those in the business world. But it can also be hard to leave work at work at the end of the day. With email and documents always at end, it’s for easy to get sucked back into “work mode”, when not at work.
