NASSCOM Foundation in Association with NextGen is Hosting a Google+ Hangout Session

BANGALORE, India - Jan. 31, 2014 - PRLog -- NASSCOM Foundation in association with NextGen, India's leading CSR and Sustainability Management Company are bringing together industry leaders of the IT-BPM companies on a Google+ Hangout session to exchange views on channelizing CSR Funds for maximum impact. The IT-BPM sector will contribute a significant amount of CSR capital to the INR 20,000 crore of CSR capital that will get generated as a result of Section-135, Companies Act 2013 that will get applicable from 1st April, 2014. The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs is supporting this Google+ Hangout. The Hangout will be held on January 31st, 2014 from 3:30 pm- 4:30 pm.

The panellists for the event are; Dr Bhaskar Chatterjee, Director General and CEO of IICA; Mr R Chandrashekhar, President NASSCOM; Mr Krishnakumar Natarajan, CEO and Managing Director Mindtree; Mr Ravi Venkatesan, Founder and Chairman Social Venture Partners (India) and Former Chairman Microsoft India. Mr Venkatesan is also aBoard Member at Infosys and AB Volvo; Mr R Chandrasekaran, Group Chief Executive, Tech & Operations, Cognizant Technology Solutions India Pvt. and Mr Mohit Thukral, Senior Vice President, Financial Services, Insurance and Health Care, Genpact.

The session focuses on CSR strategies of IT-BPM companies and how they can effectively utilize their CSR capital for generating maximum social and environmental impact, in the light of Section - 135, Companies Act, 2013. The discussion will also disseminate information on salient features of the legislation so that the participating members develop and propagate a better understanding and are well prepared to adopt it. This knowledge exchange shall assist IT-BPM companies to comply with Section 135 in a way that is mutually beneficial to both: business and society, enabling collaboration to bring about maximum impact on inclusive growth.
