Sarasota’s Studio South Fitness Opens Registration for 2nd Annual Corporate Fitness Challenge

SARASOTA, Fla. - Jan. 30, 2014 - PRLog -- SARASOTA, Florida – January 30, 2014 – Sarasota-based Studio South Fitness is proud to open registration for its second-ever Corporate Fitness Challenge. The progressive six-week fitness, nutrition and training regime promotes teambuilding and works to enhance individual physical abilities - all while benefiting United Cerebral Palsy Sarasota-Manatee. The Corporate Fitness Challenge program kicks off on March 31, 2014, as teams of four - with a fifth person as an alternate - are given Functional Movement Screens (FMS) by Studio South’s certified trainers. This helps analyze each team member’s movement patterns and identify the most effective methods of training. Teams then receive two weekly personal training sessions of designated exercises and timed fitness tests at Studio South’s gorgeous, well-equipped fitness facility.

Throughout the six-week training period, participants are encouraged to get pledges from family, friends and business associates for extra motivation and added excitement. Prizes are awarded for the most money raised by team and by individual. In 2013, teams raised over $7,000, all of which was donated to United Cerebral Palsy Sarasota Manatee. The participants included staff members from Grapevine Communications Advertising Agency, SNN6, The Hub, Capstan Financial and Southside Elementary. “Building unity and strength is important for any team, whether it’s in business or on a playing field,” said Tiffany Liashek, owner of Studio South. “After the great success of last year’s Corporate Fitness Challenge, we are excited to see our teams train, develop and compete to raise even more funds for United Cerebral Palsy Sarasota-Manatee.”

At the end of the six weeks, on May 17, 2014, all team members participate in the “The Challenger” event. The cumulative workout relay features varying tests of skill and strength culminated from the many exercises the teams participated in throughout the competition.

The entry fee of $174 per team member - plus a $100 charity pledge per team member - includes training, nutritional coaching, facility use, classes, “The Challenger” event, a commemorative sports t-shirt, and a blowout after-party with food, drinks, amazing group and individual awards, and live music.
